If you feel like you’ve stepped into a vintage postcard this Christmas in Minehead - don’t be confused – that’s the theme of the Christmas Lights and Market this year.

On Friday, November 24, Minehead will be putting on traditional festivities in the town all evening. The theme this year is ‘A Victorian Christmas’.

The afternoon and evening will be packed with traditional festive fun and warming merriments.

There is a craft fair at Minehead Methodist Church from 4pm to 8pm, choirs, dancers and activities around the town, and live music at various venues.

Families can visit Santa in his winter wonderland at The Old Hospital at £4.50 per child which includes a gift.

 A Lantern procession from the West Somerset Railway at 6pm will lead to Wellington Square.

At the square the switch will be flipped at 6:30pm.by a special guest from the past, and the countdown to Christmas begins.

Eateries and shops will remain open for the festivities.
