Derek Toze was awarded four trophies, including a cup for the best collection of vegetables.
A total of 31 cups and trophies are awarded by the gardening club, which goes back many decades and continues to be well supported by the local community.

There were numerous entries for most of the categories.
And despite the recent hot weather and lack of rain, top class flowers and plants, plus impressive fruit and vegetables, were on display.
There were also intricate miniature flower arrangements, plus interesting flower and foliage displays in the decorative section, and also two entries in the children's category.

The novice section drew exhibitors from Minehead and Alcombe who had not previously won a prize in the show.
A club spokesperson said: “There were tables laden with scones, sponges, jams, jelly, marmalade, and lemon curd for the home craft section, plus bottles of cordial, wines, liqueur, and cider in the home-made drinks section.
“Handicrafts on show were amazing, displaying the talents of individuals with crochet, knitting, cross stitch and tapestry, as well as detailed and attractive jewellery, and the visual arts section exhibited talents in photography, poetry, and painting.”

Minehead Garden Centre provided a display of plants and pots outside the entrance to the college hall and the National Coastwatch Institution and the community-run Minehead Shed also had stalls with information and items for sale.
Home produce was on sale, plus refreshments and a raffle.
The gardening club thanked the college, local businesses, exhibitors, and everybody who supported the show and made it such a success.
