SOMERSET County Council’s public engagement events are on the road until September as it looks to the future while facing the challenges of rising demand and falling funding.

This is the fourth year the authority has run its ‘Listening, Learning, Changing’ roadshows, asking people to try their hand at balancing its budget on a giant set of scales and seeking their views on its priorities and other key issues.

They are due to visit 11 towns across the county between now and early September, including setting up a stand in Wellington Square, Minehead, from 9am until 4pm on Friday, June 10.

It will also be at the Bath and West Show from Wednesday to Saturday, June 1 to 4, June before touring towns and villages including events such as Dunster Country Fair on Wednesday, July 27 from 10am to 5pm.
