A MAN has been arrested after a police appeal for information following a series of thefts which occurred in Dunster Steep car park.
The man, aged in his sixties, was in police custody on Friday (February 20) after officers received information from a public appeal for help earlier in the week.
He was arrested in Watchet on Thursday afternoon on suspicion of thefts from charity boxes and church collection boxes in Dunster.
An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesperson thanked everybody who was in touch with information for the police or who shared the appeal.
