A WOMAN in her 90s has been duped out out of what police describe as “a large sum of money” in a series of offences committed in the Minehead area.

Officers from the Avon and Somerset force have launched a fraud investigation and yesterday (Thursday) issued photographs of a woman they believe may be able to help with their inquiries.

A spokesman said the suspect was thought to have had access to the vulnerable pensioner’s bank card and PIN number.

The fraud is believed to have taken place over a number of years.

Police are appealing for the suspect, or anyone who recognises her, to contact Somerset Investigations on the force 101 number, quoting reference 49030/15.
