It is hoped that the centrally sited venue in Summerland Road car park will provide a place where councillors and staff can hold meetings, both with each other and with the public.
The monthly mayor’s coffee morning will also be held there from next Wednesday (November 6), and it is hoped that other organisations who wish to meet with the public will use it as well.
At the council’s meeting on Tuesday, members decided the small meeting room would be known as the Summerland Room.
