A MINEHEAD resident has opted to shave his head for charity, raising more than £1,300.
Wayne Hickman said he wanted to “give something back” following the death of his partner Tina Langdon from cancer in 2024.
Mr Hickman said: “Tina sadly passed away last July but, all through it St Margaret’s Hospice really looked after her so I chose to donate any money raised to them and Cancer Research.
“I’ve always had short hair but I wanted to give something back.”
On Saturday, July 12, after 17 months of growth, Mr Hickman shaved off his hair in memory of his partner, donating it to The Little Princess Trust.
Through raffle tickets and cake sales, a total of £1,365.29 was raised which was split equally between the two charities.
