June 4 was chosen as Pentecost Sunday marks the ‘birthday’ and establishment of the Christian Church with the coming of the Holy Spirit, and the overall theme of the day was of God’s love for all and for the community in Minehead to love and care for one another.
As well as music and dance, there were services of praise and celebration, a flower festival and a ‘still space’ prayer garden (pictured), encouraging people to take time out for rest and reflection.
