Reigning Premier champions Ash Rovers no longer exist.
A decision to fold the club was taken after a 3-1 defeat in the semi-finals of the Les King Cup.
A shortage of players was the reason given for the surprise decision.
A gradual build-up process culminated last season when the team won the Premier Division of Yeovil & District Football League.
But a number of players left for pastures new after that, and it has been a struggle to find enough players for most of this season.
In spite of this, results have been remarkably good, with the Easter triumph in the Crewkerne Charity Cup as perfect proof of the team's ability.
But cup successes have come at a price. After the Easter weekend, Ash had twelve league games left to play - with club officials deciding there was no way they could manage such an intense fixture list with the small squad at their disposal.
It is understood that a decision on whether to start all over again in the bottom division next season has not yet been taken.
Any Ash officials travelling to Yeovil can drop off the Premier trophy along the way at Chilthorne Domer - where Ilchester are based.
Wayne Jerome's men are now confirmed as champions. Their campaign saw another win on Saturday when they visited Bradford and won 3-0.
A volley from Trevor Cooper started the scoring, with further goals from Phil Hooper and another one from Cooper.
Bradford manager Tony Rendell said his side put in a good performance against the leaders.
Rendell, by the way, saved a point for his side when scoring the equaliser against Normalair in a midweek fixture.
Henstridge are about to make a good finish to the season and beat Keinton Mandeville 2-0 with goals from Mark Cluett and Derek Biddiscombe.
It is unclear how Ash's withdrawal will affect Camel's Premier status next season.
Camel will finish rock bottom despite playing some very good football at times. Saturday's game saw them defend poorly and trail 3-0 at home to Baltonsborough.
Goals from Andy Jardine and Ollie Perry pulled it back to 2-3, but the visitors scored again to win 4-2.
Stoke parted company with a run of drawn games by beating Glastonbury 3-0. Justin James (one pen) got the two opening goals and Paul Card wrapped it up in the 76th minute.
Normalair recorded a solid victory with a 4-0 win at Milborne Port after strikes from Mark Bowker (3) and Matt Dyer.
The champions of two seasons ago could finish in second spot if they win the majority of their remaining games.
South Cheriton secured the second division championship when defeating Somerton. Simon Bryant was the hero as he scored the only goal of the game.
Kingsbury won 4-1 at Long Sutton Reserves, more or less securing their second division status in the process.
Jake Russell (2), Alex Hartley and Neil Edmonds were on target while Rob Shire got the Sutton consolation goal.
Westland Reserves got the better of visiting Bishops Caundle, winning 4-1 with goals from Matt Sanders (2) and Dan Sanders (2).
The reserve sides of Langport and Odcombe both needed a victory in order to increase the distance to the drop zone. But it finished 1-1 and both sides need a few more points to be guaranteed of safety.
Paul Evans gave Odcombe the lead from 12 yards in the first half but Lee Bond found the net to make sure of a point for Langport.
Cups
For the first time ever, the Les King Cup final will be contested by two first division sides.
Sam Foot (2) and Charlie Pike were on target for Castle Cary Reserves against Premier side Ash in a 3-1 semi-final win, while Wincanton beat Barwick 2-0.
Martock Reserves will play Armoury in the final of the third division cup.
Martock drew 2-2 with Milborne Port A but won the penalty shootout. Ashley Gibson gave Martock 1-0 and 2-1 leads but Port fought back to force the shootout.
Armoury had an easier task as they crushed Pen Mill Reseves 5-0 thanks to goals from Rob Foster (2), Steve Harris, Ian Morris and an own goal after a Clem Woloszyn free-kick.
Wessex and Porter Black's will contest the final of the fourth division cup. Alan Brown and Ryan Pringle had the goals when Wessex knocked out Keinton Mandeville Reserves 2-0.
Porter Black's won on penalties against Barwick Reserves. Lee Rogers and an own goal made it onto the Porter scoresheet, where Barwick's Simon Hodder and Lewis Roberts also featured.
Porter's Craig Burwood was sent off in the first half. Graham Williams and Ashley Heron are reported to have had a good game for Porter, constantly feeding the frontline with good balls.
* A midweek fixture on April 4 saw the first division match between Wincanton and Temple-combe abandoned after at least one person on the sideline was alleged to have threatened the referee.
Wincanton were 1-0 up at the time, and the league council is to decide what action to take.
