DONATIONS in memory of a man who killed himself at a West Somerset holiday park will go to support the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
Jude Stainsby-Tron, who lived in Caerphilly, Mid Glamorgan, and worked as an electrical engineer for energy firm OVO, when he booked a caravan at Doniford Bay Holiday Park last year.
Mr Stainsby-Tron then killed himself in the caravan and was found on the morning of November 4 last year. He was aged 41.
Somerset coroner Samantha Marsh heard there was no record of Mr Stainsby-Tron having a diagnosis of enduring or acute mental health illness.
However, at an inquest held in Taunton Mrs Marsh was told the evidence suggested he was struggling with various stresses at the time of his death.
She said these appeared to have motivated his decision to end his own life.
Mrs Marsh recorded a verdict of suicide for County Durham-born Mr Stainsby-Tron.
Friends of Mr Stainsby-Tron set up an online donation page in his memory in order to support anti-suicide charity CALM, which says it is ‘standing up to stereotypes and showing life is always worth living’.
