'THE Choral', starring Ralph Fiennes, will be screened at Watchet Community Cinema on April 10.
Set in 1916 during World War I, the film follows the Choral Society of Ramsden, Yorkshire, as it struggles after many of its male members are called to the front.
Determined to continue, the group recruits young local men and appoints Dr. Henry Guthrie, played by Ralph Fiennes, as their new chorus master.
Despite concerns about his past, Guthrie’s leadership proves vital. As conscription intensifies, the community finds unity and solace through music, culminating in a performance of The Dream of Gerontius.
Doors open at 6.30 pm and the film starts at 7 pm. Tickets are available on the door.
