A FARM shop will continue its support of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA) in 2026 with its Charity Quiz and Supper Evenings, starting on January 30.
Following the success of Rumwell Farm Shop’s quiz nights in 2025, which raised £2,650 for the charity, the farm shop has reselected DSAA as its chosen cause for the year ahead.
Proceeds from each quiz evening in 2026 will be donated to the life-saving service.
Sophie Mitchell, partner at Rumwell Farm Shop, said: “DSAA wants to reach more patients and deliver critical care where and when it’s needed most, and this is why we have chosen to rollover our support for the charity through until the end of 2026.
“The charity’s new 2nd Heli Appeal aims to raise £1-million and we’re lending our support. Every mission is funded by donations, so quizzes like ours is essential.”
With demand rising, and gaps in coverage during the early morning hours, DSAA is investing £30-million to fund a second helicopter, upgrade its base, and prepare for potential 24-hour operations.
Charlotte Humber, supporter engagement officer for Somerset from DSAA, said: “The care we provide is only made possible because of the generosity of the public. Without this support, our life-saving service wouldn’t exist.”
Tickets cost £23 per person for a two-course hot supper and include a £1 quiz entry fee.
Tables must be booked in advance and online.
During Rumwell Farm Shop’s Charity Quiz and Supper Evening, there will also be a fundraising raffle with a selection of prizes from the Farm Shop and from its suppliers and friends.
Sophie added: “On the night, the team with the most correct answers will lift our much-coveted, sparkly Rumwell Cup – and each winning team member will also take home a £10 Rumwell voucher.”
