SHOPPERS are being invited to a Christmas craft fair and tasting event at Rumwell Farm Shop this weekend.

The shop, which is located on the A38 between Wellington and Taunton, is hosting the ‘Taste of Rumwell’ on Saturday, November 1, from 9am to 4pm.

The event will be held indoors at the Rumwell Orchard events space.

Rumwell Farm Shop’s ‘food to go takeaway’ and café will both be open and serving refreshments as normal.

Stallholders selling homemade and handcrafted products will be present at the event, as will Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance Service, who are the shop’s charity of the year.

Anne Mitchell, partner at the Rumwell Farm Shop and Café, said: “We will be giving visitors the opportunity to sample many of our Taste of the West award-winning food products from our Made at Rumwell range including items from our Bakery and Cake Kitchens, our Gluten Free Kitchen, as well as our Deli and Butchery.

“Many of the items we make feature produce from our own farm, which is just up the road from our Shop, including our Angus beef, free-range pork and eggs, and our homegrown potatoes.

“We will also have numerous stallholders onsite selling homemade/handcrafted products including felt-ware, gifts, bags, books, home accessories, fairies, candles, jewellery, wreaths, decorations, soaps, glassware and stationery and even reindeer food.

“Plus, you will also be able to pick up pre-ordering forms so you can order all your festive food favourites in advance this year.

“Come along and sample some of our award-winning products, chat to the teams who make them to find out more and enjoy all the other artisan arts and craft stalls we’ll have onsite too. It promises to be a wonderful day out and a great start to the official countdown to Christmas.”

Admission to the event is free.
