THE annual Porlock Country Fair will be held in the village recreation ground in Parsons Street from 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday (August 2).

The traditional show offers fun for all the family with country craft displays, stalls, side shows, and lots of entertainment, plus a beer tent, hog roast, and refreshments.

Attractions are as diverse as line dancing and a display of Harley Davidson motorcycles and classic cars, as well circus workshops and a family fun dog show.

The event raises funds to help cover the upkeep and maintenance of the recreation ground, which is a facility for both villagers and visitors alike.

Children are admitted free with a £3 paying adult.

A spokesperson said: “It is an ideal family day out in lovely surroundings.”
