THE Number 1 Gymnastic Club held its annual competition on Saturday (June 20) when 80 children aged four to 15 years took part.

It was again held in Minehead First School, where the club runs term-time Tuesday and Wednesday evening sessions.

The morning started with the reception age group who each performed a floor routine as well as beam and springboard.

Those in school years one and two saw the largest entry, all performing floor, beam, and springboard routines.

Years three and four involved performance on the floor, beam, and vault.

The club’s Suzanne Richards said: “Our head coach has been working with the gymnasts over the last few weeks and they have all worked extremely well and performed brilliantly.”
