A NEW piece of artwork has been created by students and staff at Kingsmead School, Wiveliscombe, and installed on the outside of the South Block building.
Measuring 8ft by 20ft, the mural was constructed, drawn and painted by students and the art department during the school’s Challenge Week in July.
The idea for the mural was to create a natural backdrop to reflect the local area.
The river includes the school’s three house names, Parrett, Barle and Otter, and the sky contains the school’s core values of ’care, aspiration, respect and determination’.
And the farm animals signify the local farming community with which so many of the students have a connection.
Kingsmead wishes to thank SCForecourts Ltd in Wiveliscombe who erected the mural.
