DOGS and their owners braved the rain to take part in the annual dog show at Huish Champflower Fete on Saturday September 3.

There was a really good turn-out, especially in the working dog class, won by Sophy McIntosh with Rafa, and also for the best child handler, who was Jess Westcott with her terrier, Bean.

The show champion was springer spaniel Rue owned by Karen Smith while reserve was Megan Morgan’s springer spaniel-Jack Russell TJ.

Karen was awarded one of the two trophies, the other going to Megan and TJ – the best local dog, living within a five-mile radius of Huish.

The organisers wish to thank the judge, Paul Yates, of Deane Vets, and his wife Jane, and everyone who attended.
