A LAUNCH meeting is taking place on Friday (January 6) for creative people to get together about the 10 Parishes Festival 2017.

The festival, held every two years, is a major artistic event that draws in visitors from across the county and beyond.

It celebrates the work of creative people in Wiveliscombe and the nine parishes surrounding it but the event involves the whole community and reflects a range of creative talents.

Pauline Homeshaw, festival director, said: “Anyone interested is encouraged to come along to the launch meeting and give their ideas on how they would like to see the festival take shape, as well as learn more about what makes the festival such an exciting event for the local community.

“We are always on the look out for new venue opportunities – previous years have seen all manner of spaces put to amazing, creative use for showcasing the talents of local artists and performers.

The meeting is being held in the Wiveliscombe Community Centre at 7.30pm. For more information visit 10parishesfestival.org.uk.
