SIR — Oh dear! I wondered when someone would find fault with the arrival of the Brixham fishmonger (Your Letters September 25).

We all support our local shops, but it is very nice to have a farmers' market for even half a day.

I should point out that the other stallholders, although from Somerset, sell everything that is readily available in the local shops. Should they also be stopped from trading?

The young man from Brixham should be commended for his initiative and long may he continue to come to Minehead.
