NIKKI Preskett of Minehead and Caroline Bolt from Honiton achieved the best result of their rally career as a team, finishing 12th overall and 3rd in class at Brean Rally Stages on Sunday.
The event at Brean Leisure Park was a round of the IMTEC ASWMC (Association of South Western Motor Clubs) rally championship and consisted of some 40 miles of mostly tarmac roads with a couple of gravel sections.
Brean has always been one of Nikki's favourites as it was the venue of her first ever rally in January 1997 and she has been lucky enough to walk away with an award for each of the four events she has now done there.
Seeded at 23 out of 70 cars, the girls were competing against a class group of cars which included four Metro 6R4s, Escort Cosworths, Darians and the new IMTEC Puma, which was having its first ever run at an event.
