BOUNCING babies and grinning grandparents lined up to do battle in Watchet's first carnival competition to find the town's best baby, toddler, grandma and granddad.

Thora Duncan took the honours in the grandmas' section after being nominated by her grandson, Aaron Nunn, aged nine.
Michael Shopland was named the best granddad. He was nominated by grandson Connor Shopland, aged four.
AJ Potter, aged three, was named as the best toddler, while 11-month-old Harvey Wright was the best baby.
The winners received soft toys and trophies, which were donated by K's Amusements, Minehead.
