THE owner of a rhea has appealed for people to be on the lookout for the bird after it went missing on Wednesday.

Jane Foster, of Sampford Brett, last saw the bird on Wednesday morning, but by the afternoon it had vanished. One of two rheas she owns, she fears it may have been stolen.
She stressed that the bird is not dangerous - ’It’s only defence mechanism is to run," she said.
