THE garden at Elworthy Cottage, planted to encourage birds, bees and butterflies, is open for the National Gardens Scheme on Monday and Thursday (May 27 and 30).

Minehead Amateur Drama School children to present their first Regal show As can be seen from this photos taken earlier this week, the garden is full of colour from perennials such as hardy geraniums, alliums, poppies, cornflowers, astrantias and violas as well as many unusual flowering shrubs and trees.
There is also a decorative and productive vegetable garden and wildflower areas. There are lots of seats in the garden with good views of the surrounding countryside.
The garden will be open from 11am to 4pm when tea, coffee and cakes will be available and there will be plants for sale. Admission £4, children enter free.
