A HISTORY of Wivey Cares, which helps elderly people in the 10 Parishes to find local trained carers, will be given in the next WiveyTalks evening in February.
David Patterson, Chris Howe, and Margaret Browning will explain how over eight years Wivey Cares journeyed from an idea to a thriving community service.
The talk, organised by Wiveliscombe Civic and Historical Society, will be held in St Andrew’s Church at 7.30 pm on February 10.
The speakers will also cover the challenges which the group currently faces.
Wivey Cares sets up packages of care designed to meet the needs of each individual in full and help them to live independently in their own home.
It also hosts Hub and Grub, a Memory Activity Group, and Wivey Amblers walkers.
