SIX fire crews from around Somerset have put out a domestic fire in Taunton which broke out on Tuesday morning (June 17).
At 10.03am, Devon and Somerset Fire Services received multiple calls about a property fire on Ilminster Road in Henlade.
The control team initially mobilised two fire engines from Taunton, who soon requested additional appliances from Wellington, Bridgwater, Street, Martock and Yeovil.
All crews had left the scene by 2pm after extinguishing the fire.
Damage was sustained to the ground floor, first floor and roof of the property.
The cause of the fire is believed to be “accidental”.
The A358 adjacent to the incident was reported to have been briefly closed but is now open in both directions.
