TWO fires took hold near the railway line in Crowcombe on Wednesday.
Crews from Taunton and Williton were mobilised separately to the two sites.
At 1.57pm on Wednesday, July 2, fire control received multiple calls to two fires both in close proximity to a railway line.

Williton reportedly made quick progress at one site, using water-filled back packs (scotty packs) and beaters, and then proceeded to assist with the nearby larger fire involving a grass field.
The incident was resolved, and no one was reportedly injured.

Despite the commotion, Taunton Fire Station also shared that crews had the opportunity to see the Flying Scotsman, which passed the scene of the field fire on its journey to Minehead.
