SANTA will be doing his annual shop in Minehead’s supermarkets from next weekend, where he will also be meeting local children.

In the absence of Santa’s elves, members of Minehead and District Lions Club will accompany and help him.

He will be in the Tesco store on Saturday and Sunday December 20 and 21 from 10 am to 4 pm, and then visiting Lidl on Monday, December 22, again from 10 am to 4 pm, before stopping off in Morrisons on Tuesday, December 23, once more between 10 and 4 pm.

A spokesperson for the Lions said: “This gives children joy and raises funds for Lions to distribute to local charities and good causes.

“Come along to see Santa and tell him your Christmas wish list.”
