ONE person was taken to hospital via air ambulance after a crash closed the A39 near West Quantoxhead.

Police were called to the scene of the incident just before 1pm on Monday, October 13, as two vehicles were involved in a collision.

The road remains closed between The Avenue, West Quantoxhead, and Sea Lane, Kilve.

Emergency services remain at the scene, while one person was taken to hospital via air ambulance with possible serious injuries.

Police are now calling on people to come forward to support their investigation.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “If you were in the area at the time of the collision and saw the incident, or have any relevant footage, please call 101 and quote reference 5225287335.”
