MORE details have been released by detectives investigating a high value burglary at the home of a West Somerset pensioner whom police believe was ‘targeted’.
Two men stole £10,000 cash from a bedroom after entering a house in Glenmore Road, Minehead, on the evening of Friday, November 21.
The pair fled when they were disturbed by the home owner, a 77-year-old woman.
Police said the woman discovered the burglars as they were making their way back down the stairs between 6.40 pm and 7 pm.
The men also stole two bank cards from the bedroom.
One of the burglars was estimated to be about 6 ft tall and was wearing dark clothing and a face covering with a yellow marking on it.
The second was described as wearing dark clothing and a face mask, but no other information on their appearances had been established at the moment.

Neighbourhood Insp Steve Jones said: “This is a high-value burglary, and the vulnerable victim has suffered significant loss and has understandably been shaken by the incident.
“The victim was physically unharmed and is being supported by officers who have given her access to any specialist help she needs.
“At this stage, we believe this burglary was targeted.
“We are now appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the suspects fleeing the scene or in the vicinity shortly after the time of the offence, and for any nearby residents to contact us if they have any CCTV or doorbell footage which could assist our inquiries.
“Call police on 101 quoting 5225327512, or complete our online appeals form.”
Insp Jones said crime scene investigators and officers attended the scene and had carried out high-visibility reassurance patrols in the area and conducted house-to-house and CCTV inquiries.
He said anybody with information which might help the investigation can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via its anonymous online form.
Insp Jones said: “No personal details are taken, information cannot be traced or recorded, and you will not go to court or have to speak to police when contacting Crimestoppers.”
