A MAIN Exmoor road was closed by police on Tuesday afternoon (December 9) when a van crashed as Storm Bram swept across the area.

Two people were reported trapped in the vehicle on the A39 between Porlock and Lynton.

The van partially left the road at about 1 pm and emergency services are at the scene.

The strong winds being experienced during Storm Bram meant the road was judged to be unsafe and police put closures in place.
