FIRE crews from Williton and Nether Stowey were called to a barn at Quantock Machinery, near Flaxpool, after smoke was seen issuing from the second storey on Saturday morning.

Nine fire crews mobilised as part-thatched Dulverton house catches alightThe two fire appliances from Williton, plus a water carrier from Bridgwater, dealt with the incident using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and two covering jets.
Once the fire was out, the crews got to work checking for hot spots using thermal image camera and one hose reel jet.
Western Power was contacted to isolate the supply to the building. The fire was in an electrical board and the cause is believed to be accidental.
