3rd Watchet Garden Show attracts more than 200 entries

This year's Watchet Garden and Flower Show attracted over 200 entries in 52 classes.

The overall champion winner was Karen Coles, who also won the vegetable section, and food and drink.

Other winners were Alan Jones (flower section), Haydn Sperring (arts and crafts), and Watchet Gardening Club for best garden display.

Zachary Moore won the children's section.

Sarah & Jim Lander won the open garden competition, while David & Rosemary King's garden scooped the public vote.

West Somerset Hotel won the first scarecrow competition for businesses, Jeannette Foster best front garden scarecrow, and Maria's Casual Wear the voters' overall winner.

The local businesses in Watchet donated some lovely prizes in the raffle, which raised £360 towards next year's show.
