Members of the 1st Watchet Sea Scout Group spent their Easter holidays touring D Day beaches in Normandy to learn about the history of the Allied invasion of occupied Europe which led to the end of the Second World War. During the trip they also visited the grave of a Watchet man who died playing his part in defending the invading troops and paid their respects. Here, group scout leader Simon Bale gives an account of the trip.
