Elliot Scott, a Year 13 student at West Somerset College, finished an impressive third in the 400 metres at the English Schools Athletic Championships in Gateshead.

His personal best time of 48.67 seconds ranks him third in the country in the senior boys under 18 age group and also places him in the senior men’s rankings.

Elliot, who competes for Taunton Athletic Club, is going to study at Cardiff Metropolitan University in September.
