WATCHET Town's players have been back in training this week as they prepare for a season in Division One of the Uhlsport Somerset County Football League.

The seasiders were relegated from the premier division after finishing second from bottom last season.

The club has a new management trio in charge for its county league side with Aaron Deeks, Matt Heywood and stalwart Nick Sully having taken over from Avril Cooke who stepped down at the end of last season.

Pre-season training will continue on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the team expect to play two warm-up games at the end of the month.

"To be honest I'm not a great fan of friendlies," said Sully. "We have to play them all away from home and there's always the possibly of them being cancelled.

"As far as we know we don't know of any players who have left. And we will see what new faces there are at training.

"There's no guarantee that any new player at training will actually sign on for us."

The new fixtures for the county league next season are expected to be released shortly.
