WATCHET Town will be looking to stretch their unbeaten run in Division One of the Uhlsport Somerset County League to eight matches when they play at home to Burnham United this afternoon (Sat, 2p.m.).

Such form has taken Watchet up to second in the table, seven points behind leaders Staplegrove but with two matches in hand.

Watchet, who have already beaten Burnham twice this season, once in the league and the other in a cup competition, have not played since they won 1-0 away to Ashton & Backwell United a fortnight ago.

Watchet club spokesman Nick Sully said: "You shouldn't read too much into the fact we have beaten Burnham twice. They are still in a decent position in the league and can cause problems for teams.

"Josh Aspey cannot play but we're hoping Aerran Clausen and Connor Joromson will be available."

Minehead, who have been making more news off the field than on it, have a tough away game against third-placed Saltford. Minehead played out a 1-1 draw away to Westfield last weekend, the point enabling them to move up to tenth in the table.
