MINEHEAD Barbarians went down 27-14 away to a strong Avon side in Counties Two Somerset.

But the Barbarians fought their way back into the game with tries by full-back Jacob Gower and centre Sam Chinn. Both were converted by skipper Joel Lynch.

This weekend Minehead travel to St Bernadettes OBs in Bristol which will be another tough game in their bid to secure safety in the division.
