THE first week of the season in the Premier Division of the Watchet & District Skittles League saw champions Bell All Stars have Warren Knight hitting 111 in their home match against Wyndham Pinheads as they ran out 45 pin winners. Sam Towells knocked a superb 125 for the visitors, writes Alan Bulpin.

Last season's runners up Bottoms Up Had Brandon Walsh scoring 127 as they slipped to a 24 pin home defeat to Three Ferrets, with Tyrone Ash hitting 141 to record the highest away score.

Returning to the top division after a number of years, last season's division A champions Williton Club were involved in a nip tuck match with Q C Guys. With the lead switching between teams throughout the night scores of 101 from both Daniel Bulpin and Darren Towells led the home side to a narrow 4 pin victory. Archie Walsh hit a top of the alley 108 for the visitors.

A score of 105 from Allsorts Ian Clapp led them to a narrow 4-pin victory over Castaways for whom Steve duck hit 104.

Both relegated sides from the Premier Division Has Beens and Phoenix Knights won their opening games in Division A.
