A TOP OF the alley score of 118 from Bell All Stars’ Warren Knight ensured all three points in the Premier Division of the Watchet & District Skittles League as they beat Rebels by 42 pins, Nev Weir hitting a noteworthy 111 for the home side, writes league secretary Alan Bulpin.

At the Bird in Hand, Nathan Whatley knocked 123 for Bottoms Up as they keep pace with the league leaders, running out 54-pin winners over Has Beens whose Steve Allen topped the alley with an impressive score of 130.

Phil Perkins, with 97, helped Railway Steamers to a narrow three-pin away success over White Horse Stallions that sees them pull away from the foot of the table. Jos Bennett with 105 topped the home side’s scoring.

Q C Guys also recorded a three-pin victory in their home match against Allsorts who had Brian Bishop top of the alley with 116, Graham Muckersie leading the home side’s team total with 103.

Phoenix Knights made it five home wins out of five as Connor Jeromson hit 120 in the 60 pin victory over Three Ferrets whose Ashley Baker scored 103. An outstanding score of 124 from Castaways’ Nick Lane ensured their team score of 611 gave them a 21 pin away win over Jack for whom Steve Bosley hit 111.

Meanwhile, after last week’s disappointing away result in Division A, Dungbeetles returned to winning ways, defeating Footy Fockers by 17 pins, Tyler Kendall leading their scoring with 107 while Andrew Duffield hit 96 for the visitors.

A score of 106 from Wyndham Pinheads’ Andy Pegg led them to a comfortable 56-pin home win against Barn Owls whose Lewis Scrimgeour hit a top of the alley 110.

Rams’ Leigh Davis hit a respectable 113 at the British Legion to see them pick up their first points of the season as they defeated Dizzy’s Boys by five pins, Mark Mossman scoring 101 for the hosts.

In a closely fought encounter at the Football Club the lead switched between both sides during the evening with Williton Club recording a ten-pin win over Watchet Specials whose John Ellis kocked a top of the alley 125 with the Club’s Brian Bellamy leading their scoring with 107.
