LAST season, the Has Beens won the Division A trophy in the Watchet & District Skittles League but, sadly, Tony Clausen who was a playing member of the side passed away suddenly. The team had their photograph taken recently with the trophy at the Royal British Legion, but they left a space in the back row so an image of Tony could be added. The photo was then enlarged and framed where it will hang at the Legion as a lasting tribute to him. The captain just wanted a simple message along the lines of: "In memory of Tony Clausen who played for the Has Beens." He was a popular sportsman playing football for Minehead when they were in the Southern League, eventually finishing his playing career with Watchet Town. Tony is pictured second from the right in the back row next to his son who is on the end.
