MINEHEAD Barbarians face one of their toughest games of the season on Saturday, April 25, when they play at home to leaders Burnham on Sea in Counties Two Somerset (3p.m.).
Burnham need only one more point to clinch the championship while the Babas cannot finish any higher than third after losing at Clevedon last weekend, after fielding a below strength side.
It means that Minehead now trail second-placed Clevedon by 16 points, with the Babas still having two games left to play.
Clevedon end their season on Saturday (April 25) with an away game against Hornets Seconds who are fourth in the table, only one point behind the Babas.
At the other end of the table Keynsham entertain Castle Cary in a basement battle with both sides trying to avoid relegation.
Fixtures for Saturday, April 25 : Chew Valley v Avon, Hornets v Clevedon, Minehead Barbarians v Burnham on Sea, Oldfield Old Boys v Imperial, Keynsham v Castle Cary.
Minehead are not due to end their season until Saturday, May 9, when they play away to Keynsham Seconds.
The remaining fixtures in the division are: May 2 Keynsham v Avon, May 9 Keynsham v Minehead Barbarians.
Meanwhile, Minehead Barbarians 2nd XV still have three matches to play in Counties Four Somerset South.
Lying fourth in the table with games in hand on all the teams above them, Minehead play away to Yeovil Seconds on Saturday, April 25.
They play at home to their Bridgwater & Albion counterparts on Saturday, May 2, and end their season with an away fixture against Albion the following weekend.
However, match of the day on Saturday, April 25, is the top of the table clash between leaders Burnham on Sea and Morganians.
