MINEHEAD have clinched promotion in Division Three of the Under 13 section in the Taunton Youth League after gaining a 10-1 away victory over North Curry.The Blues started with instructions to move the ball quickly which proved tricky at times on a boggy pitch and from there they were in control . With just two minutes gone Jake found himself one on one with the Curry keeper and bags of time but his shot went just wide. With seven minutes on the clock Minehead took the lead when Jake's shot came off the post and fell to Frankie who was able to put the ball past the keeper. The lead was doubled just a minute later when a through ball from Elliot found Reuben who ran on to it and found the back of the net,North Curry bounced back onto the attack but the danger was cleared. At the other end Minehead continued to press high and with less than 15 minutes played George made it 3-0.Minehead were seriously piling on the pressure and five minutes later Reuben got his second of the game and made it four nil. Curry persevered and a long ball over the top to their number number nine  caught Minehead off guard and he was able to fire into the roof of the net and make it 4-1.Just before the interval Raf entered a battle for the hosts and once the tangled legs were free he was then able get on the score sheet and make it 5-1 at half time.The second half started well and after three minutes Raf got his second and almost immediately after his hat-trick it to make it 7-1.  Minehead added to their score when George, who had moved into the midfield, was able to line the ball up perfectly and fire home.Just before the hour another superb ball from Logan high in the air connected with Reubens' head and resulted in a bullet header to reward him with his hat-trick .With just a couple minutes of play remaining Minehead were looking to hit double figures and did just that with yet another superb finish from Reuben making the final result 10-1. This result secured promotion for Minehead Under 13s who will be hoping to get four more points from their three remaining games to go up as champions.Minehead squad: Harry, Austin, Reiss, Kaiden, Harley, George, Logan, Elliot, Frankie, George, Jake, Raf, Reuben, Charlie. Man of the Match: Raf and Reuben The Under 13s' remaining fixtures are - Tuesday, April 25th 6:30 KO Vs Watchet and Friday 28th 6:00 KO Vs North Curry.
