BRENDON based trainer Jeremy Scott, who chalked up his first Cheltenham Festival winner last month, looks back over the last few weeks

"As we emerge after a very busy fortnight lambing, we can reflect on the past few weeks," he said. "Lambing is always a busy time for us; however as the farm is so wet, all of the horses are still in plus the cows and once the sheep started lambing, we were extremely full. The sheep were prolific with their timing and the majority have lambed over the past two weeks and we can now see daylight at the end of the tunnel.

"The horses have been on flying form since Cheltenham, Stormy Flight, Leissieres Express, Bampton Star, Joe Cotton, Bonza Boy, Rollo's Kingdom and Came From Nowhere have all managed to get their head in front! Stormy Flight has been a fantastic horse for his owners, winning for the second time at Exeter this season. Leissieres Express was given a patient ride over 3m 6f at Chepstow and won impressively under Lorcan. A double at Exeter for Lorcan with Bampton star returning to the winners enclosure and Joe Cotton winning on his chasing debut. On Easter Monday, we enjoyed a quick fire across the card double curtesy of Rollo's Kingdom and Bonza Boy, a novelty trying to watch Bonza Boy at Chepstow while in the winners enclosure at Plumpton!

"We have been syndicating Came From Nowhere with John Purefoy and On A Mission and he won well on his debut at Taunton. He behaved professionally throughout and galloped all the way to the line. He showed some signs of greenness but will have learnt a huge amount for the experience.

"King Of The Lake has been providing Lake Side Racing with plenty of fun, enjoying champagne every time he runs; he finish as been 2nd 6 times and third once, hopefully he will get his head in front soon!

Champagne Court is a grand veteran who has not lost his enthusiasm for racing, finishing second on his last two starts. He may be one for the veteran races. Celtic Art has ran well on his last two starts although he looks in the grip of the handicapper at the moment, finishing third.

"We took four young horses to Warwick Racecourse for their schooling morning. They put on six flat races with a flag start where the horses galloped around the course for around two miles in a group of about 10. It was a fantastic initiative from the course and extremely beneficial to the youngsters experience. "
