MINEHEAD & West Somerset Hockey Club Ladies went down 2-0 at home to ISCA 3's in their final West Sedgemoor Division One game, leaving them in sixth place in the table.

ISCA made a quick break and managed to sprint past Minehead's defence and slip the ball past their keeper to score the first goal of the game.

Minehead's relentless pressure was kept at bay by a great performance from ISCA'S keeper.

Minehead’s luck seemed to be completely out when they did finally score, only for the whistle to have been blown a fraction of a second earlier for a short corner.

After a half time pep talk from coach Wilson, Minehead came out and put more pressure on and had several opportunities to score which were yet again narrowly missed.

An unfortunate ISCA cross took a deflection enabling ISCA to see out the game.

The Carol Matravers’ player of the match went to Jess Koppa for her solid work in defence.
