RECENT vandalisation to buggies at Minehead and West Somerset Golf Club means that a disabled golf event due to be played on Bank Holiday Monday has had to be cancelled.

It would be impossible to hold the event without buggies.

Club chairman Stephen Kaye said: “I would like to thank all those who volunteered to help - your response was quite inspiring - and for the support of the club in proposing to host this event.

“I hope we can at some time in the future welcome the Disabled Golfers Association to our club.”
