SUZANNE Ward won the Ladies Sunday Medal Competition at Oake Manor Golf Club with nett 71, just ahead of Jane Clist, also nett 71, who lost out on countback. Daphne Priddy was third with nett 75.

Hal White won the Men’s Sunday Stableford Competition, scoring 38 points while Samuel Turner came second with 36 points and Matthew Pike was third, also with 36 points.

The Seniors played a Stableford Competition on Monday for the John Matthews Putter. The winner of the trophy was John Mattravers who won division 1 with 40 points, Peter Taylor came second with 39 points while Jonathon Shepherd was third with 38 points. Charles Groom won division 2 with 42 points but, unfortunately, was ineligible to win the trophy. Alan Ashby was second with 38 points while Paul Lewis came third, also with 38 points.

There were some very good scores in the Ladies Tuesday Medal Competition. Daphne Priddy won division 1, scoring nett 66 with Kate Foster in second place with nett 68 and Julie Cross was third with nett 69.

Ladies Captain Mary Beakes won division 2 with an excellent nett 65 - the best score of the day. The next three ladies all scored nett 69s but on countback Catherine Drysdale came second and Carolyn Excell was third.

Robin Trott won division 1 of the Wednesday Midweek Stableford Competition, scoring 42 points, Ashley Gaines came second with 38 points while Josh Martin came third, also with 38 points.

Andy Cooper scored a superb 48 points, 12 shots under par, to be the winner of division 2, Robert Cowburn came second with 40 points while Logan Thomas was third with 40 points.

In last week’s Ladies Sunday Stableford, Suzanne Ward was the clear winner with 45 points, Daphne Priddy came second with 38 points and Rachel Hughes was third, also with 38 points.
