THE professional shop team at Enmore Park Golf Club is very much a growing concern and over the last six months to cater for the needs of the members, the team has expanded and now comprises the following individuals, all of whom are available to respond to enquiries about golf, coaching, and retail shopping opportunities.

Harry Brown is the PGA Head Professional and oversees coaching programmes, custom fitting, stock control and retail operations.

Alex Elwick is the PGA Assistant Professional, offering coaching support, retail services, club repairs, and custom fitting.

Alice Plumb is a retail assistant responsible for providing customer service, managing stock, and overseeing day-to-day shop operations.

Alex Clapp is a PGA Advanced Coach - attached full-time to Enmore Park Golf Club.

Among the recent improvements offered by the Enmore Pro Shop are the following - An updated range of products across equipment, clothing, accessories and footwear; Extended opening hours to support member and visitor accessibility; A brand-new fleet of buggies; Dedicated custom-fitting appointments and club repair services; Improved shop layout and merchandising for a better customer experience; Regular product promotions and demo days to encourage member and visitor visits.

Looking ahead to 2026, the following are planned at the go-ahead Enmore Park club - Expanded group coaching programmes designed to get new golfers out onto the golf course as quickly as possible; On-course performance lessons teaching how to deal with the intricate parts of the game in real-life scenarios; Regular coaching clinics, expanding knowledge to group coaching sessions, with plans to go abroad to warmer climates in the winter of 2026;Custom-fitting and performance days with key suppliers, offering a range of demo days throughout the year to boost customer experience with tour-level service; New member coaching pathways to support beginner development, helping to integrate new members into the golf club with various coaching sessions and social initiatives.

Full details will be finalised and shared early next year.

In the future, Enmore plans to enhance junior involvement, including weekly beginner coaching sessions on Saturday mornings from 9:30 a.m., activities at school holiday events and camps, and Holiday Boredom Busters, which emphasise the fun of golf in a relaxed and safe environment.

A Junior Academy Pathway is being introduced to support development from beginner to advanced, offering coaching sessions to the junior section to boost skill level and encourage more competitive play, with the aim being to feed into the men's and women's teams.

Junior competitions are planned throughout the season, boosting awareness of competitions and allowing juniors to have fun at the same time.

Meanwhile, the Ladies at Enmore Park Golf Club took part in a Poppy Day Appeal Stableford competition on Wednesday . In the 18-hole competition, Wendy Walker with 35 points was the winner, one point in front of second-placed Nicola Thompson, with Karen Flanagan third with 32. Suzanne Bromme won the Poppy Appeal competition over 9 holes with 20 points, two ahead of Gillian German with 18, while Paula Travis was third with 17.
