THE Saturday Medal Competition at Oake Manor Golf Club was very close with the top two players scoring nett 67 but on countback Barry Hardwill was the winner with Paul Coleman coming second while Michael Bellwas third with nett 68.

In the Sunday Stableford Competition Samuel Turner was the clear winner with 40 points while Kenneth Rixon was second with 36 points and Mark Lecompte came third with 35 points.

Liz How won the Ladies Tuesday Stableford Competition scoring 32 points while Angela Warnes came second with 31 points and Julie Cross was third with 30 points.

Nathan Pepperell won the Wednesday Midweek Stableford Competition and division 1 with an excellent score of 45 points, Owen Irish was second with 40 points while James Symons came third also with 40 points. Ryan Warfield won division 2 with 40 points while Oliver Nott came second, also with 40 points and David Jewell was third with 38 points.

In the previous week’s Wednesday Midweek Stableford Competition Ben Chinn won with 44 points with Gareth Nation coming second with 40 points while Oliver Beynon was third also with 40 points.

Meanwhile, a total of 124 golfers braved heavy rain in the club championship. Jamie Short was the Men’s Gross Champion with a gross score of 142 with Theo Jones runner up on 145.

Dave Hill was the over 55 Gross Champion on 157. James Wilkinson was the Nett Champion with a nett score of 130 with runner up Gareth Nation with nett 141.

Charlotte Bolton was the Ladies Gross Champion, scoring 181 while Helen White was runner-up just one shot behind. Helen was also the over 55 Ladies Champion Jill Loader was the Nett Champion with nett 155 and Clair Tough was runner-up with nett 158.

Theo Jones was the Junior Club Champion with gross 145, also Junior Nett Champion with nett 143.
