THERE has been just three runners for us in recent days, all of them running well and being placed.

Harry improved on his British debut effort to be third back at Worcester. Final Entry ran another solid race to be fourth at Worcester, while Martin’s Denuo also ran another good race on his second start to be a close second at Fontwell.

We start this week with two runners at Newton Abbot on Monday, Bashful Boy and Ocean Heights and then we have runners at Worcester on Thursday.

Karnaval Point is likely to run in the 2m4f handicap chase on the card and Savanna Storm may run in the maiden hurdle. Karnaval Point has had a great summer since coming over from France, winning twice and he was a close third at Cartmel last time.

Savanna Storm has shown promise in two bumpers but did run a little disappointingly on hurdling debut. He is a work in progress and shows enough ability at home that he will be winning races.

Jumps racing is quiet this week and there is no action over the weekend either but we are likely to be heading to Lingfield on Saturday with Affection.

Unnamed Ex Inch Lala - Bred by her owners, a lovely three-year-old filly who has recently joined us and settled in well. She is by Dartmouth who is producing some nice jumps winners, her dam is a winning chaser and this filly is a half-sister to three jumps winners. Will be one for junior bumpers and hurdle races later this season.

Indulto Rouge - An impressive winner of his only Irish point he finished third on bumper debut at Hereford. Underwent wind surgery after being unplaced in a listed event at Ascot but didn’t fare any better; returned to action at Southwell after. Goes very nicely at home and we hope with another summer on his back he can excel over hurdles.

Jaipaletemps - Won five chases on his return last autumn, starting with two at Ffos Las then Lingfield, Taunton and Chepstow. He wasn’t out of the placings on his other starts and was a credit to the yard and his owners. He was Rian Corcoran’s first winner as a professional jockey and he was on board for all of his wins. Life will be tougher this season but he loves racing and has a great attitude so there may be more to come yet as he is only seven.

Jurancon - A high class individual who had a season to forget last time around. We couldn’t quite put our finger on the cause but he has had a long break and hopefully we can start fresh and see the real Jurancon this winter.

Karnaval Point - Another French recruit who has done well over the summer, winning two of his five starts. Still only a six-year-old, he is a character but he knows how to win and might well be suited more when the rain comes as well.

Keep Star - A lightly raced six-year-old from France who missed last season through injury. A two-time winner over hurdles, a lovely big chasing type, he has been in a while but won’t be running until we get some genuine soft ground.
