MINEHEAD and West Somerset Golf Club’s Ladies Section played a Wessex match against Enmore at home - and ran out 4-3 winners.
The Thursday competition was a strokeplay medal. First was Deano Carlin with a nett 74 while Sarah Hill was second with a nett 76. Trying conditions meant no-one was able to play to their handicap.
The weekend saw a mixed greensomes competition competing for the Skylark Trophy in high winds and heavy persistent showers. Most competitors soldiered on, and this was won by Neil Mossman and Gill Hurley with 39 points. Second were Paddy and Ruth Maclennan.
This Thursday saw a team of three Florida Scramble medal format competition. First were the team of Ginnette Boywer, Lesley Davis and Sarah Hill with a nett 69. They performed better on the back nine to beat the team of Jayne Fulwell, Kay Luckett and Annette O’Hare, also on nett 69.
